01Scope
This policy applies to Bluff Cup (sold as Bluff Cup: Liar’s Dice) on Android and iOS, and on Windows through Steam, the Microsoft Store and itch.io. Bluff Cup is published by YellowGames (Raimonds Rudmanis). Where something applies to only one version — advertisements on phones, achievements on Steam — that's called out explicitly.
02Information we collect
2.1 — What stays on your device
Bluff Cup has no account and no sign-in, and we operate no servers of our own. The following is stored on your device and never sent to us:
- Your run in progress — saved after every move so you can pick it up later.
- Your profile — runs played and won, call accuracy and other statistics, the characters, charms, dice and skins you've unlocked, achievements, and your daily streak and results.
- Your settings — text size, reduced motion, sound, music and volume.
- A premium flag — a yes/no recording whether you own the premium unlock, so the game knows without asking the store each time.
When you copy a daily result, the game puts a short line of text on your clipboard. Where it goes after that is up to you.
2.2 — Gameplay analytics
To learn how the game is played and where it is too hard or too easy, Bluff Cup sends anonymous events to GameAnalytics:
- What happened in a run — that a run, a table or a daily started or ended and how far it got, the tier, which boss was reached, which charms and dice were bought, when you lost a die, and whether each of your bids was honest or a bluff and each of your calls right or wrong. The dice themselves are not sent.
- What happened around it — that a rewarded video was watched, and that premium was bought, with the price and currency the store reported.
- A random identifier created by the analytics library on your device, so that events from the same device can be counted together. It is not your name, email address or phone number.
- Technical information — device model, operating system version, app version, your country (worked out from your IP address), session times, and error reports if the game fails.
These events are not used for advertising and are not combined with your advertising identifier by us.
2.3 — Advertising data (Android and iOS)
The free phone version shows advertisements through Google AdMob: a short video when you choose to take a die back or to reroll the shop for free, and one advertisement when a run ends — never during a table. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier — Android's Advertising ID, or iOS's IDFA where you've granted App Tracking Transparency — your IP address (from which an approximate location is derived), and standard technical signals used to select, limit and measure advertisements. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland this is governed by the choice you make in Google's consent form on first launch.
Some of these advertisements come from Unity Ads, which AdMob calls on to fill them (this is called mediation). When it does, Unity Ads receives the same kinds of data — advertising identifier, IP address, device information and how you interact with the advertisement — and the choice you made in the consent form is passed on to it.
Premium removes every advertisement, not the advertising library. With premium no advertisement is requested or shown, and the revive and free reroll come without a video; the library still starts with the game, and your consent choices keep applying. The Windows version contains no advertising at all.
2.4 — Purchases
On phones the premium unlock is bought through Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card number or billing address; the store handles checkout entirely by itself and tells the game only that premium is owned. The purchasing library the game uses is made by Unity and may send Unity technical information about the device and the transaction. On Windows you buy the game from Steam, the Microsoft Store or itch.io under their own terms, and there is nothing to buy inside it.
2.5 — Steam
The Steam version unlocks Steam achievements as you earn them. Steam therefore records, on your Steam account, which achievements you have and when you played — as it does for every Steam game. That data is held by Valve under Steam's privacy policy; we can see only aggregate achievement figures.
2.6 — When you write to us
If you e-mail us, we receive your e-mail address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to fix what you report, and delete it when it is no longer needed for that.
2.7 — What we never collect
Apart from what you choose to send us by e-mail: your real name, home address, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, or GPS-level location. There's no chat, no display name and no free-text field anywhere in the game.
03How we use it
- Keep your run, profile and settings on your device, and remember that you own premium.
- Understand how runs play — which rivals, bosses and tiers are too hard, which charms are too strong — and balance them.
- Show and measure advertisements on phones, and show none once you've bought premium.
- Diagnose crashes and technical problems.
We don't build a profile of you, and we don't use anything the game collects to train any AI model. The rivals in the game learn only within a run, on your device, from the bids you make at the table.
04Third-party services
These services see part of the data above. None of them sees all of it, and none of them can see what the game keeps only on your device.
| Service | What it's for | What it can see |
|---|---|---|
| GameAnalytics | Anonymous gameplay analytics and error reports, on every version | The events in §2.2, a random identifier, and technical information about the device |
| Google AdMob + Google User Messaging Platform |
Serves and measures advertisements; collects consent (phones only) | Advertising identifier, IP address and standard ad-serving technical data |
| Unity Ads | Serves some of the advertisements, when AdMob calls on it (phones only) | Advertising identifier, IP address, device information and ad interactions; your consent choice |
| Unity In-App Purchasing | Connects the game to the store for the premium unlock (phones only) | Technical information about the device and the transaction |
| Apple App Store / Google Play Billing | Processes the premium unlock | Your payment details — directly with the store, never with us |
| Valve (Steam) | Achievements in the Steam version | Your Steam account, the achievements you unlock and your play sessions |

05Children's privacy
Bluff Cup isn't directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age where you live), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. It has no real-money gambling: dice are rolled for gold that exists only inside a run. If you believe a child has given us anything beyond the anonymous technical data described above, contact us in §10 and we'll have it removed.
06Data retention
- Everything in §2.1 stays on your device until you remove the game or clear its data.
- Analytics events are kept by GameAnalytics for as long as its own retention policy specifies — we don't hold a separate copy.
- Advertising identifiers are retained only as long as the policies of Google (AdMob and its consent form) and Unity (Unity Ads) specify — we don't hold a copy at all.
- Steam achievements stay on your Steam account under Valve's policies.
07Your rights & choices
- Choose how advertisements treat you. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the consent form on first launch asks before any advertising data is used, and Settings → Privacy options brings it back whenever you want to change your answer. On iOS, the system's tracking prompt and the iOS Settings app do the same for the IDFA.
- Reset or switch off your advertising identifier in your device's own settings, on either platform.
- Remove the advertisements by purchasing the premium unlock. On iOS, Settings → Restore purchases brings it back on a new device; Google Play restores it by itself.
- Delete what is on your device by removing the game. Nothing of it exists anywhere else.
- Ask about the analytics data. It is tied to a random identifier rather than to you, and the game has no account, so we may need your help to tell which records are yours. Write to rrudmanis@hotmail.com and we'll answer within 30 days.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state laws such as the CCPA to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We honor these on request regardless of where you live — §10.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the ad-serving by AdMob and Unity Ads described in §2.3.
08Data security
Your game data never leaves your device. What the services in §4 collect is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected by their own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
09Changes to this policy
If a change materially affects what is collected or how it is used, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the game before it takes effect.
